Family,

Wow I just wanted to start off with a quick update.. I'm still in Catan and I will hit 6 months here this week! Its totally fine with me because I absolutely love it! We have had tons of success and are experiencing the joys of reactivating a few families, baptizing, and watching the ward grow together as they participate in the work!

We have lots of work to do and I really find joy in what I'm doing.... But the joy I feel is nothing like the joy that comes from watching others succeed. The focus in our zone that Elder Weiss and I are putting in practice is that every elder can gain the confidence of theLord through the little things they do... planning, being obedient, and diligent. We have seen elders change a lot of things and are seeing the results of their work. This week we had interviews with Pres. Carter and he was very on board with what we are doing.. I had a great experience receiving that second confirmation... we prayed a lot about our focuses and really felt the conferring spirit telling us what we were doing was great. My companion goes home in March and we are just living the dream together... we are doing lots of divisions helping elders learn how to gain the confidence of the Lord and we have literally seen miracles. This last week we went with a district over to help an area find new investigators with the promise that we would help them get at least five people in church, we spent 3 hours and we had some good plans but nothing for sure.
The next day when they called they only had three investigators in sacrament but God completes his promises... 2 investigators came to our ward with their cousins and
when we got their addresses they lived in the area of the elder that needed five people in the reunion. I know that every missionary is set apart to be have the authority of the priesthood... but as we live righteously and magnify our callings we literally have the power to call down the blessing from heaven!

How are your studies going in Preach My Gospel... I hope you can study and prepare for your missions, another thing that would be great to study dad...is the priesthood manual with the boys! I love it and I feel my priesthood power strengthened as I study how to manage and magnify my priesthood.

I love the church so much... every little aspect of it is so true!!! I'm grateful for the chance we have to choose to be happy! I love the Book of Mormon and miss the temple! I wanted to talk to all a little about the Sabbath day.. I know i was a bad example... I know realize how special the day is... And so many people don't... I hope you can take a look at your activities and cut out whatever it is that takes your thoughts away from the savior or
the family!... football games, video games, ext...I know mom and dad taught us well but we kinda dis obeyed... well its time to change if you already haven't... sorry if this sounds strict but its the truth and it only hurts until we change!  I feel a fire within me! I know that part of being a member of the church and a respected leader in the world is standing alone...The savior did it many times if not is whole life!
LOVE ELDER FOSTER
