I LOVE THE GIFT OF CHARITY - MONDAY, MAY 16, 2011

ELDER FOSTER DOING HIS OWN LAUNRDY
Wow I cant believe it has been a week since I talked to you  for Mothers Day... it feels like it was just yesterday. Wow that was a great experience, it was so good to hear each and every one of you and know your still the same crazy family that I wouldn't trade for ANYTHING IN THE WORLD! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

AHHH YOU ONLY HAVE ONE WEEK LEFT OF SCHOOL!!! It is crazy to think about what I was doing this time last year looking into the military and not knowing what in the world I was going to do with my life, but then I met Bracken, he wrote me and told me he is selling again and it was about this time we met each other and wanted me to know I was [one respectable sexy man] haha in the words of him.... But wow I remember it like it was yesterday and all I have to say is please enjoy it because it goes and wont come back, but there is hope, the missionary life is way better than any other time of life thus far! The truth is I would rather be here doing this than anywhere else!

Sounds like you guys are having a great time with rodeo and all that includes, I am glad your shopping around for a truck cause heaven knows we need something new. The expedition is on its last wheel.... literally.

I am glad you have so much support from the family and friends in your rodeos Tate and McCray keep up the hard work and the rest will come your way in time,  I am learning that here in the mission
We kinda had a rough week but wow it was amazing and we learned a lot and are moving forward with faith, we had plans to have a huge transfer and here we are the last week with four baptisms.

What a blessing to have four when other parts of the world that is more than they have in their entire mission.... But we had good plans and dates to have 8 and the Lord knew that.. This week we had the other 4 baptismal dates fall and wont be baptised this transfer... 2 because they didn't make it to church and the other 2 because they feel something different... I don't understand what they felt that caused them to feel otherwise but it literally made me sick and i spent the night crying in prayer with my companion because we don't know what changed... But the truth is we lost those dates and are now searching and working with other progressing investigators for the next transfer.... The good thing is we have 2 possible baptisms for this end of the week and as i was reading in Alma the story of Alma and Amulek we read [ we are blessed according to our faith]... We are praying and going to do all we can to Baptise Maraline Deluqui and Jorge Rodrigez... I love a challenge and here 1 has been placed before us... How do we handle challenges? With a good attitude a smile and hard work and communication with Dios we will get through anything!!!!

I am so glad to hear Tanner might go back out! Oh I love Katie and Bracken so much I learned so many life lessons from them and I will forever owe them for taking me in like their son/friend/brother this last summer! And I'm excited that Andy finally found the one he was looking for!!!!

I was thinking and I thought of a couple more things that they don't have here in Argentina that you could send if you want but really I don't need...They don't sell stick deodorant... and I gave a bottle of the gorilla gel to one of my converts but I really like that gel.... so if you have more at the house I would love it... a bottle lasts me about 3 or 4 months...3 if i don't cut my hair... 4 if i keep it short! Oh and I bought a jacket from my card today I hope that is okay... It is really nice and water proof and was 270 pesos which is like 65 American dollars! I also am going to cut my hair today!!!

Also if you could PLEASE PLEASE send photos and news paper clippings of Tate and i playing football... I would love to show off my little brother in the news papers! Tate your a stud and i know your going to tear it up this year!!!!

Elder Quackenbush is prob going to leave this next week and honestly I am really sad he has helped me so much with my spanish because he speaks like a native and can help me understand why spanish translates the way it does... Also he doesn't know this but I look up to him so much... He has a difficult companion and I admire his charity and love for him... He is humble and very real and genuine and he and I have a lot in common... Like we aren't picky... if we are cooking and drop something... we will just eat it... And he always makes funny comments like... The lord blesses his missionaries as he puts the germ infested food in his mouth... hahaha!

In my studies this week i studied alot Charity... I LOVE Charity... The pure love of Christ... In 2 timothy it tells us we are not given the spirt of fear but the oposite... Love... I have so much room to improve... I talk to all the people i can but right before i feel this burst of fear and embarrassment.. but i do it anyways.. when i don't feel that i will feel much better about my ability to love... In 2 Nephi 33 3 and 4 i learned that Nephi felt the same way i did when we lost those baptismal dates this week... I love the gift of charity because it includes so many things.. Patient, not being prideful, not being bugged, suffering our trials... And it seems impossible to not ever let little things even bug us... but we are promised if we [pray with all the energy of our hearts we can develop this charity]!

This is my email for the week and I'm so thankful for your emails! I love each of you and look forward to your next one! Have a good week and know you have a son and brother who loves you and is praying for your bienestar (well being) here in Argentina!!! I love my mission, i love my name tag, I LOVE these people, I LOVE this language and I LOVE this gospel!!!!

Rodrigo Paz and Elder Foster
I love him....he is my little buddy

Keep it real clean and sexy and may god bless you in all you do this week!
Love Elder Foster!!!

IS OSAMA BINLAUDIN REALLY DEAD? - MONDAY, MAY 2, 2011

This is such a beautiful catholic church
that we were able to go inside but it was horrible with dogs and cats
everywhere and bloody paintings of Mary and Christ.
This is Elder Foster showing how grateful he was to get out
It took half of the day for the spirit to return
Hola Family!!!
Wow hahaha after reading all my emails I have 20 minutes to type this email, really don't feel bad Mom... like not at all! The weeks fly so it feels like yesterday I didn't get an email so don't you worry one little bit! Sounds like you guys have had some pretty crazy fun weeks, thanks so much it was good to hear from the other member of the family.

MOTHERS DAY-
We have 40 min to talk to our mothers.... You guys are either 3 or 4 hours behind me I can't remember for the life of me, but I am going to call Tate and McCray to talk to them at 12:00 here in Argentina after church so that is at like 8 or 9 in the morning for them, then I will call you Mom and Dad at like 8:00 at night for me... so in Idaho that would be at like 4 or 5 in the afternoon, but you guys will be traveling so I have no idea what time it will be for you guys, I hope that makes sense.

Quickly I wanted to tell you a few things that happened this week, we went to Capital this week which is in a different mission to do the paper work for my companion to leave.  It is SO SO SO big, it is actually where Elder Reid my first companion is serving.

It was a great experience but I forgot my camera.... I will get another opportunity though, there is a street that is the largest in the world..... 28 lanes wide,  hahaha so so so loco.

We also had my first zone conference and it was a great experience to see all of those elders and to hear from President and Hermana Benton, they only have like a month or 2 left here... I cant even imagine how they must feel, speaking of President Benton he came to our sacrament meeting and taught our recent converts class and bore his testimony in testimony meeting, this man is like no other man I have come in contact with.... I love him... I want to love people the way he does.. so so bad.

He then told us he will be having divisions with General Rodriguez this week, it is cool because he will work, eat, sleep and show us everything on Thursday for 24 hours, it's going to be so much fun.

I dont know if I told you this but every Thursday we celebrate oreo night, we all have a count down and eat Oreos, a tradition started by President himself and he will be there to celebrate it with us, I'll  Ill take photos.

I didn't receive the package and don't know if I will, I'm so sorry Mom I feel terrible. If you want you can send another one because  I would still like those hero cards and please please send more photos of me and the things I like to do... football pics, friends, and also of the boys and rodeo and things like that, I need more photos to show my investigators, also if you could send like the graduation cards of my friends when you get them that would be sweet.

Also they don't have peanut butter here.. idk just some ideas! I did get a letter from Hailey and also another inspiration from Tom Bird.  It is starting to rain and get cold here but I love it and look forward to taking on the trails that come with a smile and good attitude... I learned that is the way the Lord wants.... in Mosiah chapter 24.

We had two of our three baptisms this week!!!! Brian and Andrea Deluqui were baptized but her husband didn't show up and we don't know why and she still hasn't heard from him in three days...but she doesn't seem to worried she says sometimes he has to work like crazy, so we are praying for him but personally I am sick to my stomach because we worked so hard with him and he has changed so much I am thinking the worst.... I seriously need to work on my faith, if I had the faith of Nephi he would be baptised.... we learn that miracles happen according to our faith, but we pray for things to develop.
Elder Quade Foster and Andrea Deluqui

Baptism day for Brian and Andrea Deluqui
Elder Foster with his three best examples
Elder Lopez, Elder Balvin and Elder Quackenbush

ELder Quakenbush told me just barely that the Navy shot and killed Osama Binlaudin... is this true... please tell me all about this... he says America is going crazy!!! ahhhh HOW EXCITING!!!

I went to shut the window because I was cold
and the whole window just fell and broke
I wish Dad were here to fix it!
Anyway, yes mom that is my foot and yes my feet are just nasty and swollen from walking all the time, literally we walk more than I can explain, but honestly I know that we will be blessed according to our struggles in this work and so we move on, I can't complain when the people here don't even have shoes or a house... I can't... you know that this has always been sensitive for me to see people that don't have anything.

Haha the pictures this week, the window story is this... I was cold and went to close the window and the whole window just fell and broke... haha I don't know what happened or how we are going to fix it but it sure is cold at night and we need to fix it quick.
I am sick about Cody Anderson and I will write him for sure, I hope he learned a lot and enjoyed his experience. Mom I seriously love my mission and don't look forward to coming home... no offense to you or to anyone at home but that is how I feel, I miss you guys and I know life is going great and moving on but I love my mission and it will not be a joyful day when I leave... but it will be a lovely day when I get to see you again. Love you all so so much and I look forward talking to you soon.

Keep it real, Clean and Sexy!
Elder Quade Clifford Foster

We had a miracle happen this week with family mollo...

Hey Familia Mio!!!

Can’t believe another week has passed here in Argentina! My time here is filled with so many crazy, fun, hard and spiritual experiences! I first wanted to tell you that my zone leader is related to Lisa and Kurt Marlow... Elder Camren Rounds! He is a stud and we found out we have a lot in common... He is from Preston and we played each other in football... Of course we won!!! haha! But mom he wanted me to give you the phone number to his mom and maybe you and her can meet up and talk missionary mush! hahaha! but really they seem like a great family... really similar to ours! They live on a little farm like us even! His moms name is Caroline Rounds and her number is 208 852 0432!

I also went on divisions this week with an Elder who is called Elder Bagley from Rexburg Idaho... If we aren’t mistaken his mom works with Cory! but it was pretty crazy... He has 1 year and 4 months in the mission and it was rough and I feel bad because he still can’t talk in Spanish :(... I have nothing against him but I pray and pray that I can speak a a lot better than that when I have 16 months... My goal is that the Argentines can’t tell that I am from the United States! Haha I have a lot of work to do!!!

I still didn’t receive the package from you guys... I feel bad you guys spent so much time and money and it might not get here...But I did receive a letter from Hailey which was really good to hear from her! I also received a letter from Dan Eldredge who typed a letter to me when he was out of work from his hands being operated on! I am at the Ciber a little earlier than normal so I don’t know if this is the reason I haven’t received an email or if you guys have just been super busy! But either way I understand that this week was the rodeo and the wedding of Mccade and his wife and things were pretty crazy! I still love you!!! ;)

I will just tell you a little more about my companion, my mission, and our investigators! My companion is the District Leader and has Been a Zone leader for 9 months of his mission! He is a stud and I love him and look forward to the next 8 weeks with him! He is de Peru and has a family about like ours he is the Oldest and First to serve! He is doing a 4 week extension so we have a little time together still! I am going to be here in Rodriguez for a long time! I will be with him until June and then I will be with another companion for another month and a half to train them for the area before I leave because they don’t like to have 2 new Elders in an area... So that puts me at like August... But I am totally fine with it because I LOVE IT HERE!!! The people are so easy to love and are so humble! It is so beautiful here! It is very green right now because it has been rainy for the last 2 days... crazy how 2 days can change it! but I am preparing because I guess it will get pretty cold!

Well the Devil is real and he is working hard on our fetches Bautismals! Ariel the esposo of Andrea was stoked for his baptism and has worked really hard to overcome his drinking problem... But we have been working with Andreas mom on the other side of town with her sister who is also a member and yesterday at church they both came and Ariel now says... If we are going to have to be in the same chapel I can’t get baptized... So we don’t know what they have but they have a problem.... Well Ariel does... The mom Miriam has accepted a date for the 14th of Mayo as well so haha idk... But we are going to teach forgiveness this week and pray that the Lord will soften his heart! Him Andrea and their son Brian should be baptized this weekend the 30th! Sorry this is scattered but we saw a miracle with the mom this week...Miriam has listened to the missionaries before but has never was interested! We were working around the house of her Daughter Marcella who is a recent convert and literally Sat... at 9 at night when we were walking back to the bench we felt to stop by and talk to her... It happened that her mom ( Miriam) and her mom’s friend (Estela) happened to be there and they were talking about the church and she was thinking about coming Sunday... So we had a short lesson with them and they came to church the next day... and like I said before Miriam and Estela now how Fetches Baptismal for the 14th of Mayo!!!

We had a miracle happen this week with family mollo... The dad sat down with us and watched the restoration and listened to us and feels like this is a good thing for his family... (finally... after 6 of them are baptized)! And then... The Devil went to work... The kids weren’t listening to the parents all week so they were frustrated and Sunday when they were all ready to come to church Jessica and the Dad got in a fight.... and The Dad told her to leave and take the Kids to church but to be rebellious she told him no... well the dad told them if they weren’t going to follow this commandment of (obey your parents) they weren’t going to be allowed to go to church! So NONE of the family got to come....UGH......so we are going to have to move their dates from the 7th to the 14th as well!

So as of right now we have 7 fetches baptismal and we are working with some other and are hoping to get some more this next week! We are excited to finally get some people in the water this week! I’ll be sure to send photos next week! Oh I received an email from Lacey Hawker and looks like the Rodeos are going great! HAHAHA I remember the trips with the Hawkers... What a blast! Look forward to more of those in my life time!

Les Amo! Estoy viviendo el sueƱo de los misioneros aqui en Argentina!!! For you NorteAmericanos...I love you and I’m living the missionary dream!!!

I look forward to your email next week and I sure hope you enjoyed your Easter together!!

Keep it Real, Keep it Clean, Keep it Sexy and may the Lord bless you in all you do!

MY FEET ARE IN ROUGH SHAPE - MONDAY APRIL 18, 2011

Mom my feet look like yours after running a marathon
I am running the Lords marathon
Elder Quackenbush with my foot and a pumis stone
He did WORK on my nasty heels

Hey Family!!!

We have been so so so busy this week and it doesn't slow down for P-day I honestly have 20 min to type this to you guys.

First off thanks Mom for telling everyone about the letters and stuff...really thanks, but I want you to know I wasn't saying that because I am homesick or because my mind isn't on the work, I just want to know what is up with the rest of the family. The last thing I want is for people to think I'm not giving it my all out here because I am and I love it so much, but thanks so much and I look forward to hearing from other members of the family but just tell them I can only hand write...so they need to hand write me if they want me to have their address or include it in the Dear Elders.
I'm sorry Tate and McCray that the rodeo didn't work out the way you wanted but I know you guys are studs and will fix what it takes to be the best. When I read your email I immediately remembered my studies yesterday in Alma when Alma and the hijos de Mosiah are teaching the laminates, they can't seem to get their point across or can't quite seem to catch the steer but then they remember why they are doing the work and remember the Savior and things start working for their good. I promise if you guys continue to work hard and remember the Lord and say your prayers and read he will bless you with success.

I'm sorry I don't have any more time to answer your email, but Mom honestly thank you so much for taking the time to tell me whats going on every day, I want you to know I think the world of you and I know you are always busy and it means a lot that you take the time to record the things every day, I'm sorry I didn't have time to comment on it all.
I just wanted to tell you about our investigators we are teaching right now, we have five more baptismal dates, three on April 30th and two for May 7th, we are teaching Family Deluqui and the Mom is named Andrea,  she is 34 years and her son Brian is 13, they love the church and have come twice... the miracle is that Ariel the husband came this week with them, he has had nothing to do with us and then the spirit touched his heart ( just how we promised Andrea it would)  and he now will be baptised with them the 30th of April, another eternal family on the path to eternity.

The other two are again from the Family Mollo... Cristian is 13 and is preparing for the 7th... The miracle is Jessica, she is 19 and ran away when she was 15. She has been living with a kid and she is pregnant, when he found this out he left, she was heartbroken and alone and she needed help so she prayed to God for help and decided to move back in with her parents, and the day she moved back she noticed her family was different, and that night we stopped by, she was crying in her room when we entered, she told us her situation and then cried some more.

We testified that she doesn't have to do it alone and told of the power that we hold as siervos de Dios and we gave her a blessing. She felt the spirit and wants that all the time, for this she too is preparing to be baptised with her little brother Cristian on the 7th.
I have to go but I wanted to let you know that I love this work more than anything in the world, I am so humbled to be a representative of JESUS CHRIST! I cant wait for my brothers to experience this and share my experiences with them and Dad.

Mom your the best and I appreciate the love and support of you and Delanie!

Keep it real, Clean and Sexy
And may God bless you in all you do!

LUJAN ZOO - NEVER GOING TO BELIEVE THIS SUNDAY, APRIL 10, 2011

I am not in the United States any longer
Where would you ever go in the US that would let
you in the cage with a full grown lion and pet him

Yes! - This is Elder Foster
He is letting a bear eat food out of his mouth

Elder Foster hasn't changed at all
He is still looking for A Jolly Good Time - as he always says.

At the Lujan Zoo you are fine to shake an elephants trunk

So adorable but don't let your guard down Elder Foster

I am so glad to hear all is good at home! Especially with the surgery of nana.... wow i was worried and prayed for for her! I am a little worried for McCray i hope he will take his surgery like a man when the time comes! I bet McCray loved to see Tuf Cooper again!!!

I hope Tate didn't freak out too much from his test... I remember how that test was and when i couldn't take it cause i got lost and didn't have my licence.... what an experience! I sure hope he did well and was calm! Is Tate going on any more dates or who is he hanging out with

Shad the little boys name was Kevin Mollo and ill get his address here so you can send him something... actually that wont work cause they dint have one and he doesn't speak English.... haha but we will figure something out! Are you still playing rugby....

Delanie is doing what? I hope she is listening and getting her shot and all... I hope she is liking school and you guys are enjoying the snow... It is starting to cool off here a little but it is still like 75... and every 5 or 6 days we will get a really bad rain storm... I guess they say it gets really really cold when it rains in the winter here... like it should snow but it is too wet!

Dad i haven't heard from you in awhile... I hope your job interviews are going good and i want you to know i love you and I'm working hard just like you taught me! Keep improving cada dia... this is how we become like the savior.... step by step...

Mom i am so grateful for you for writing me all the time! It is really nice to know whats going on at home! It made me sick when you said i owe allot to taxes... will i have any money left...? what about my phone? did that get sold? I didnt know they were gonna count my prizes as money as well... oh haha are you guys enjoying that TV?

Hey how is the other family doing? i haven't heard from any of the fosters since my first month in the mtc... and none of the hawkers... you can have them write on dear elder or hand written are good too... but its whatever... i haven't received any mail or packages since I've been here except the dear elders from Tom Bird... So when you see him please tell him thanks so much... they help me and are very inspirational....

Well this week was great and we baptised 5 people from our area...Nilton, Carmen, David, Kevin (the one that reminds me of shad) and Natalia... We about lost Kevin and Natalia because the dad of Familia Mollo hates the church and thinks they are too young... And we found out he is abusive and hit the mom so she didn't want them to be baptised either but because the sisters of the family have such strong testimonies they talked the mom into signing the Fitchas because she knows that it is really important but scared of the dad... and the other area will baptize next week!

I finished my first transfer in the mission... wow it went by so fast! I received another companion today Elder Bolvin... He is from Peru and the truth is... I have been praying for a companion like him since elder Lopez left... He doesn't speak English and it is exactly what i need to help me speak better Spanish... I am grateful for him and i have only been with him 3 hours and i love the kid to death... so funny! This is his last transfer... but he is extending a month so ill be with him for 10 weeks! I don't know my area very well so we are going to learn it together!!! He is the District Leader so i will be going on a lot of divisions because he has to do all the baptismal interviews for the district and all that... so we will have to work extra hard because we are shorted on time....

We have 3 more baptismal dates... A girl named Andrea and her son Brian who is 13 and the oldest sister Jessica Mollo... she just moved into the house last week and noticed a change into her family and wanted what they had.. well the only thing that changed is they have the gospel and the gift de el espirtu santo... Mom and Dad i am going to come back and visit this family because i have 8 baptisms in this family alone... so if you guys and who ever else wants to save up.... you can come with me!!!! I would love to show you all my areas and stuff!!!

The best part of my week except for the baptisms was the LUJAN ZOO!!!! President took the trio to the zoo for our hard work... So literally it is worth it for you to come to argentina for this alone... the whole day is like 25 dollars for EVERYTHING!!!! This isn't like any other zoo though... As you can see in the photos....We got to feed a bear with our mouth, play and feed baby tigers and lions, pet a real live lion... THINGS THAT ARE TOTALLY ILLEGAL AND AGAINST ALL SAFETY REGULATIONS IN THE UNITED STATES..... BUT AGAIN.... I'M IN ARGENTINA BABY!!!!!! hahahaha! I hope you enjoy the pictures and i hope mom doesn't freak out too bad!!!! hahaha I love you all and ill talk to you next week!!!! Oh elder goodworth is leaving the zone:( i hope i get to see him again.... during the mission....OH BY THE WAY OUR MISSION HAD 208 BAPTISMOS ESTA TRANSLADO!!!!!

I love my mission so much and i wouldn't rather be anywhere else! I pray that my friends are having the time of their lives like i am!!! Let me know how they are doing! Give me an update on all my friends at home if you can... Jason, Alan, Hailey, Danni, Lindsey, Bracken and Katie...oh and tell Cody and Lacey i love them so much!!! i would love to hear from them!!! Love you all so much and May our Savior Jesus Christ be in your hearts always!!!!

"Oh where oh where did my companion go"

My Family!

Wow so good to hear from you and your adventures this last week! I am so glad that Tate and McCray and Shad got to see their hero this weekend! I as well got to see my hero this weekend as well! I want so so bad to someday be as Bold as Elder Holland, as Intelligent as Elder Uchtdorf as Meek as Elder Eyring and as Happy as our Prophet Thomas S. Monson!

I have had a week like you guys wont believe... Tuesday after i wrote you last my companion Elder Lopez received a phone call from the Assistants that blew us all for a loop! He was called to be the Secretary to the President in the middle of a transfer and would be leaving the next morning at 8... This was very weird that they would do this right now and not wait until next week when the transfer ends... So we packed up his stuff and he was on his way.... Well idk if it clicked to you that that leaves me to run my area in the most successful busy time the mission has seen... with 6 Baptisms coming up and not knowing my way around.... I literally did not even try to learn the area when i was with Elder Lopez because i figured i had another 2 months with him to learn it.... Boy was i wrong... only 1 month here and can only but spit sentences out in Spanish.... None of us knew who my new companion would be or where he would come from... well i didn't get anyone new... For the first time in the time of President Benton he formed a trio with Elder Quakenbush and Elder George the other Elders in my pension...When President came to get Elder Lopez we had an interview in my room and he told me that the Lord had told him this was what needed to be done and that i was ready... because the Lord qualifies those who he calls...

So that left us 3 to plan for our 6 baptisms this transfer and our 4 other dates for the next... and their 4 baptism for this transfer and 1 other date... So we immediately knelt in humble prayer as we begged the Lord to help us plan effectively to do all that we had been asked to do! We planned for the next hour how we would do this and get to the appointments we had already planned... we had to re arrange things so work on my side for half the time and their side for half the time...Remember how much running around we did before... It was nothing... We had the Help of the Assistants 2 days this week but we literally ran around in all of General Rodriguez.... 60 miles from one end to the other... we averaged 19 miles every day this week!!! I have NEVER EVER experienced anything like this... I LOVE IT SO MUCH! We laughed and laughed as we looked forward to the challenge that had been placed before us... as we tried to figure out together where to find our investigators house in my area... haha i am glad i kinda knew how to use a map! We missed all but 2 of our lunch appointments because I couldn't remember where they lived.... whoops! The best part about the whole thing is that one of the days we were ankle deep in water... when it rains here it rains really really good!

Well we got through the week and we were able to keep the Baptism of Brisa and her dad made it from Spain to witness it.. how special it was... She was so ready... but only very few knew it because she is so shy... but when she opens up she is such a little sweet heart! This was on Saturday morning!

Conference here is so differen, nobody has a TV to watch it at their house and our church doesn't have the big screen to watch it either so we had to travel to Moreno which is two hours away to watch it at the church there, so the church rented a bus and everyone met at the church and 65 people squished onto a bus no bigger than the ones we ride to school.

The people here have made me have such a greater love for the prophet, they were so so excited to listen to his words... the way they talked about Thomas. S. Monson was so sacred...haha so so amazing... the people have so much fun here, I love them because they are so lay ed back and they could care less what people think of them... Def. not like that in the States.... We all sang the hymns of zion in a bus full of hot sweaty Argentines!!! hahaha nothing i would rather be doing at this time in my life! Good news together we had 17 investigators come with us, 13 from the area of us and 4 from the area Elder George and Elder Quakenbush.

This is an all day event, we don't go to the session and then go back home and come back again, we go to the church and stay their till the last session ends! SO the first session here started at 1 in the after noon... the second at 5 and the the priesthood session was at 9... so by the time we got to bed it was past midnight and we were up at 6 knowing that we have to be exactly obedient in this work!

When set apart to be a missionary I am 100% positive we are set apart to have a better understanding and desire to listen and learn the gospel of Christ! As I sat in a room with Elder Goodworth listening to the sessions in English for 10 hours I was like Delanie watching Dora... I sat in amazement as I received more revelation there than I have thus far in my life, I know that those men are called of God and have the power to talk to the church in general conference but through the spirit to each one of us individually! I took 16 Pages of notes and I will pick and choose 5 of my favorite quotes with you.

If your looking for an easy church... this isn't the one! It is hard to be a latter day saint, but in the long run it is the only one that will bring you salvation... Boyd K Packer

I love this work... It is work.... So drag your families into the work with you so they too will know how to care for others! Henry B. Eyring
Families can be like ropes... as we all do our parts... like each individual strand woven together to make a strong rope we can do hard things... I loved this one because I thought of you guys and the fact you were watching those ropes in Vegas, it was by Richard J. Mayes
We often don't find the answers to our prayers when we are on our knees... but rather when we are on our feet serving others! Dieter F. Uchdorf
I have to go but what an amazing week it was... I feel so insignificant a I think I'm only one person but as I think of the power that we have holding the priesthood I know that I will be able to do hard things! I love this gospel... I love this work and I am SO proud to be a missionary and a member of it! I am a disciple of Jesus Christ and I will be ready when he comes!!!
I love you all

A REAL BUSY WEEK - HOW ARE MY MISSIONARY FRIENDS?? SUNDAY APRIL 27, 2011

Hola Familia!!!

Another great week has come and gone in this journey they call a mission, I will first respond to your questions and comments, I hope you are all enjoying your Spring Break together in Lake Havasu, I couldn't help but think of our long journey mom with Hailey last spring break, what an adventure.

So you will have to tell me all about it the next email and what things happened and what you did and how the weather is and the whole works! Oh the good ole Enriquez family  I love them they are some of the nicest people and truly are some of our families greatest friends, we contrast well with a family of all boys and a family of all girls. Good for Brittney I hope all is well and the man she marries treats her well and she is happy.

Tate and McCray are such hard workers I bet they love that job so much, so are they going to work for both Steve and Brother Richardson? They are going to love being around such a happy optimistic man all the time, that is the key to the mission let me tell you, be optimistic and you can go so much farther and work so much harder.
Mom and Dad seem just as busy as every... you always have your hands in so many things and I've learned that is the way life should be, I cant believe I never realized how amazing you two were until I'm gone... you know just how to handle life don't you! haha
Nana, what a lady, I Love her so much I see her picture everyday it is in my white handbook just like Grandma Lila was in Dads blanco Biblia.  I am happy that she is going to get her eyes taken care of but I feel bad for the poor lady she has been through a lot in the last year, give her a kiss for me. Does she just absolutely love her laptop... so thoughtfu of you guys for getting it for her. Ill be looking forward to a letter from her in the next...mmmm year...hahaha! just kidding I bet she will get if figured out real soon.
High school dances man  I loved those so much, I sure hope they enjoyed themselves it sounds like they got spoiled so much... I never really liked having the girls pay but it was kinda nice every now and then, haha Payson Erickson looks like he is 12, but I guess he is 16 now.

I haven't heard from Rochelle since my first month in the MTC how is her job, how is she doing? And wow I'm so happy to hear about Rana and I'm so glad you told me I will pray for her.
Thanks for the address of Elder Jolley I'll be sure to write him in the next couple weeks, Mom have you heard from any of my other friends? Elder Richins, Bone, Huntsman, Anderson, Tommy Higham. How is tanner? If you could get their addresses I would love to send them a letter, we don't get to write them, Elder Richins emailed me but I never emailed back because we cant so I want to hand write them.

Well now its time for my week, it didn't slow down to much but it did just a little because we have a little bit more help, I will apologize for not having pictures right now because the card reader we use was stolen last week right in front of our eyes but Elder George didn't want to confront him cause they are only like $5 or 20 pesos here... I was gonna buy one but didn't get the chance so I will make sure to this week so I can send pictures next week.

Our baptism last week was moved to the 2nd and it is a for sure thing because her dad is coming from Spain to watch it, she is way excited. All of our investigators we are teaching will be baptised on the 9th because we have a rule that they have to be in church 3 weeks before they can be baptized.

We know we were blessed to have all these investigators right now during conference this week because we have 100% faith that as they listen to the words of a prophet of God they will have all their questions answered, I never realized how great of a blessing it is to listen to the words of a prophet... the people here are so excited and I have learned so much from them.

We bought little note books and put a picture of the prophet on them, we gave them to our investigators so they can write their questions down and take notes from the talks, as a mission we have a goal to have 300 investigators attend conference, we will do our part as of now we should have 12 that go.

The branch is getting a bus and having a breakfast Sunday morning and we are all going together so it should be really good, we are still blowing up and so excited for our success that we CANT complain...but I'm sure once it dies down in the next couple weeks it will hit us.
Every week I keep a sticky note in my agenda and whenever something happens I want to remember I write it down so I wont forget, it all starts to run together, so these are some of the things I wrote down.

#1 the Argentines love the Norte Americanos,  Ana and Jamila Mollo stole a picture of Tate and I from my little book of photos that I have to show to investigators and they wont give it back, Ana is in love with Tate... So Tate if you ever can't find a wife learn to speak Spanish and I got one here for ya haha!!!

I was home sick for the first time this week - We are teaching a 12 year old boy named Kevin who is exactly like shad, I kid you not, a little Argentine version of Shad, I am going to baptise on the 9th, he has the same cute little hands and pudgy little face that makes you just want hug him, he loves to watch T.V. and loves guns and Army but LOVES to read, he has read all the pamphlets we have and is so ready for baptism, I got homesick thinking of this little boy that I know named Shad that is the exact same way.... but that passed and we have a jolly good time!!!

They love American music, all of the Eminem songs and Black Eyed Peas and Usher and that kind of stuff is always blaring here, especially at the parties, wow can these people put on a party, they have no money but they can manage to have parties for 50 people with blow up toys to jump on and clowns and everything.

It doesn't change much for the church, we had a branch party and when we walked into the gym they were blaring "Tonight's gonna be a good night" by Black Eyed Peas... haha and all the kids had their faces painted running around and just madness, for the first time since I have been here I sat back and said to myself, wow I am in a different country, likeI can't even imagine Dad or Bishop Leckington or President Browning being the lead of a human train dancing around the gym throwing their hands up... haha well it happens here!!! hahaha! ahh how I love this country and these people.

I had two really good meeting this week, every two transfers we have meetings with the President. My interview was really good, I love that man so much andI know he is called of God to lead this mission and its missionaries, he was very straight forward and honest and he was very impressed and hadn't seen a better companionship his whole time being here the last 2.5 years.

He told  me I would be very successful in my mission and in my life, he made me promise that I would tell you to this from President Benton. You must have done something right to have a kid, a missionary, like this.... so there it is... and let me just add to tha, I love you two so much and I am eternally grateful for the principles you have taught me and helped me to learn to be here on the mission! I can NEVER repay you.... but I WILL make you proud!
I only have three minutes left till I have to go so I will just tell you I love you all so much, I hope and pray you are enjoying your time together as a family, I'm excited to be with you all for eternity!
